Job summary

Flagstar Nursing is seeking a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This role involves assisting interventional radiologists with minimally invasive procedures and operating fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT guidance systems.

The ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT (R) registration, and at least 2 years in interventional radiology. BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or vascular imaging.
• Current ARRT (R) registration; ARRT (VI) Vascular-Interventional certification preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Strong proficiency with fluoroscopy, ultrasound and CT guidance systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, patient safety and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist interventional radiologists in performing a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, including biopsies, drain placements, embolizations, angioplasties, and thrombolysis.
• Operate fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT guidance systems to ensure procedural accuracy and optimize patient outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, manage contrast media, guidewires, catheters, and closure devices in aseptic technique and radiation safety.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and condition throughout procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Document procedural details, contrast media usage, and post-procedure care instructions accurately.
• Collaborate with the interventional radiology team, nursing staff, and referring physicians to coordinate patient care.
