Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Carbondale, IL. The role focuses on interventional radiology with on-call duties, starting 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities include assisting IR procedures, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining EPIC documentation. On-call requirements and variable shifts are described, with housing assistance and 24/7 recruiter support offered.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois license from IEMA.
• ARRT-board certified Radiologic Technologist (X-ray).
• IR or Cath Lab experience required; cath lab experience may be trained for IR duties.
• CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications.
• On-call availability: 2 days/wk initially, up to 10 days/mo when fully staffed.
• Hospital setting experience; EPIC documentation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during catheter-based and angiographic IR interventions.
• Operate C-arm/fluoroscopy, ensure image quality, and document procedures.
• Prepare patients, manage contrast, monitor status, maintain sterile technique and safety.
• Document procedures in EPIC and chart accurately.
• Collaborate with nurses, technologists and physicians; respond to changes and emergencies.
• Provide general X-ray coverage when IR cases are not scheduled.
