Job summary

Focus Staff has a client in Urbana, IL seeking a Traveling Interventional Radiographer to perform complex vascular and neuroradiology procedures using radiographic equipment. The role is a contract/travel assignment with 13 weeks, offering 5x8 day shifts and opportunities for travel across assignments.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of IR experience, strong patient-safety knowledge, excellent communication with staff and patients, and the ability to work independently while

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Interventional Radiography experience.
• Independent decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety and precautions.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
• Meet all local health regulations and complete health assessment.
• Physical and sensory requirements listed in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Develop and maintain skills in McKesson RIS, Physician Portal, PCM, PMM, Kronos, PACS, PHS and related systems.
• Monitor and ensure equipment performance to specification.
• Assist the supervisor in maintaining an adequate level of supplies required for patient care.
• Ensure that relevant exam information is captured at the time of the exam.
• Assist radiologists in performing exams providing clinical excellence.
