• Schedule: 8-hour shift, Days (7:30 AM 4:00 PM)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Required Qualifications: Masters degree, active Illinois license or confirmation that application has been initiated, temporary state license with supervision of a licensed Speech Pathologist for 18 months, or a temporary license while completing a Clinical Fellowship Year; Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous NICU experience with a focus on feeding of preterm and medically complex infants; experience as a Speech Pathologist; valid state driver's license evidenced through driving record.
• Responsibilities include assessing feeding and swallowing, conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress in a neuro-protective, trauma-informed, and family-centered care model.
• Equipment utilized: EPIC electronic charting system.
• Fluency in documentation practices using EPIC is required.
• Floating to other units or departments is unlikely but may be considered for those with PICU experience.
• Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual.
• Additional details: The position is within a 65-bed NICU. Candidates are required to submit the last four digits of their SSN, their middle initial, and confirm active Illinois licensure or initiation of licensure process.
