Job summary

Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for an inpatient travel assignment in Cortez, Colorado. The SLP IP will evaluate, plan, and administer comprehensive speech therapy for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an inpatient setting. The role requires CC- SLP certification, state licensure, and flexibility for 12-hour day shifts over a 13-week contract.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA) required.
• Current state SLP license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan speech-language pathology care for inpatients.
• Administer therapy and document progress with patient goals.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team and physicians.
• Deliver therapy to improve communication and swallowing.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs.
• Document care plans, orders, and clinical status updates.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and quality initiatives.
