Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Inpatient Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Crescent City, California. The role is an inpatient rehabilitation position with a 40-hour workweek, daytime shifts, and the ability to float between inpatient and outpatient care.

The ideal candidate will have an OT license, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of experience, with a preference for hand certification. Local candidates within 50 miles are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current OT license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Hand certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program, or equivalent experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs for patients impaired by illness, injury, or psychological/developmental conditions.
• Complete patient evaluations, develop and update plans of care, and provide ongoing treatment per established standards.
• Provide clinical supervision to assistants or aides and may serve as a clinical instructor for students.
• Maintain accurate documentation, charge capture, and compliance with regulatory and facility requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius.
• Returning staff must have a separation period of at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract.
