TotalMed Allied seeks an Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Seattle, WA. The OT should have 6 months of experience (1 year preferred) and hold BLS and NBCOT-OTR certifications with state licensing.

The role requires an 8-hour shift, 40 hours per week, for 13 weeks with a stipend and travel considerations. Responsibilities include patient assessment, developing treatment plans, educating families and employers, and documenting progress per state/insurance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with goals and activities to help the patient achieve them.
• Assist patients with tasks across various disabilities.
• Assess home/workplace for potential improvements and adaptations.
• Educate patient families and employers on care requirements.
• Recommend equipment and instruct on use.
• Document patient activities and progress for evaluations and reporting.
• Provide timely documentation following state and insurance guidelines.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an immediate travel opening in Seattle, WA. OT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Review patients' medical history, ask the patients questions, and observe them doing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and the types of activities that will be used to help the patient work toward those goals.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and, on the basis of the patient's health needs, identify potential improvements.
• Educate a patient's family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment.
• Assess and record patient's activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and for reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Occupational Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• OTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, NBCOT (OTR), 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay & Conditions
