Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a Travel In-Person School-Based Speech Language Pathologist in Juneau, AK. The role supports preschool to elementary students and offers travel stipends with relocation assistance.

You will assess and treat speech-language disorders, collaborate with teachers and parents, and help students achieve educational goals within the school setting. Alaska licensure or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• State licensure as an SLP in Alaska or eligible.
• Alaska Educator Certificate or willing to obtain.
• CCC-SLP (ASHA) unless CF.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus.
• Commitment to culturally competent and client-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve articulation, language, and social communication.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school team to support classroom participation.
• Monitor and document progress; adapt treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Educate parents and teachers on strategies to facilitate carryover in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate records, session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
• Stay current with research and best practices in school-based SLP.

Requirements/Licensure: Alaskan State SLP Licensure, Alaskan Education License or willing to obtain licensure with our support.

Compensation: Up to $65, but travel stipends can be discussed.

Responsibilities

• The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence‑based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school‑based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.
• Monitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
• Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech‑language pathology.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school‑based professional development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech‑language pathology services in schools.

Qualifications
