Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wichita, KS. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and hold ACLS and BLS certifications.

This is a travel assignment with a 13-week duration, 36 hours per week, on night shifts. Responsibilities include bedside care, medication administration, diagnostic testing, and patient-family communication.

Qualifications

• ICU travel nurse with acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS required; NIH may be required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests; monitor patients.
• Record lab specimens and interpret results.
• Monitor equipment and assist with catheter/lead/tubing placement.
• Communicate patient conditions to family members.
