Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an ICU travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Lubbock, Texas. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, ICU specialization, and travel employment. Expect 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours weekly, and responsibilities including medication administration, diagnostics, and family communication.

Qualifications

• RN with 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIH certification may be required; 2 years of experience stated.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take samples for lab work and interpret results.
• Monitor and adjust ICU equipment and interpret displays.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters and leads.
• Communicate patient conditions to family members.
