Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Intensive Care Unit RN for a travel assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This ICU travel nurse role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week.

As an ICU RN, you will monitor critically ill patients, administer medications, interpret tests, and support families. Travel work includes night shifts, 12-hour blocks, and tax-free stipends; the team relies on you to provide high-quality bedside care in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; additional ICU certifications may be requested.
• CPR certification and ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care for ICU patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and monitor patient status.
• Operate and interpret ICU monitor equipment and devices.
• Communicate patient conditions to families and care teams.
