Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Savannah, Georgia.

The RN will maintain quality patient care, supervise nursing staff, and contribute to a safe work environment. This role requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS before the first shift, and a minimum of two years bedside experience. Night 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour week are typical.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• BLS certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and set goals related to patient diagnoses in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in weekly team conferences to present patient information and status.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.
• Engage in patient rehabilitation programs utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel while delegating appropriately.
• Uphold safety standards and participate in creating a positive and functional unit environment.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities upon completion of the orientation period.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
