Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit for a travel assignment in Kingwood, TX. The position runs for 13 weeks, with a 36-hour work week and 12-hour night shifts.

Travel RN duties include managing life-threatening patient conditions and providing high-level critical care. Requirements include an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS & ACLS, and at least 18 months of ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN License.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS Certification.
• Eighteen months of recent ICU experience.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures to control changes in patient’s condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
