Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU Travel Nurse to join our travel program in Somerset, Kentucky. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts in the ICU.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and current ACLS/BLS certification. The role focuses on patient monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• ICU RN with critical care focus and ability to monitor critically ill patients.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required or may be required before assignment.
• 1.5 years of acute care experience preferred for ICU travel assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care in ICU settings.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests; interpret results.
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Communicate patient conditions to family members and physicians.
• Assist with patient and family education and long-term care planning.
