Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a 13-week assignment in Overland Park, Kansas. The ICU RN will provide comprehensive critical care, monitor patients, and operate life-support equipment while collaborating with the care team.

Shifts are 12 hours, nights, totaling 36 hours per week. ASAP start preferred; requires 1 year ICU experience, a Kansas RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications; CCRN and other certifications are a plus. Travel benefits and support are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of recent ICU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer complex medications and treatments per critical care protocols.
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU settings.
• Document assessments and interventions and communicate changes to providers.
• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpret findings.
• Educate patients and families about ICU care and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care.
• Maintain infection control protocols and pursue ongoing education.
