Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Glendale, Arizona. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a 36-hour work week and 12-hour day shifts.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS & ACLS certifications, and has at least 18 months of ICU experience in acute care. Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in ICU and educate/support patient families.
• Ensure proper functioning of life-support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures to promptly control changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
