Job summary
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel assignment in Somerset, Kentucky. The position offers a 12-hour day shift, 36 hours per week, and a travel employment arrangement.
Requirements include an active RN license, nursing degree, BLS & ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 18 months ICU experience. The agency covers credentialing and offers housing or housing reimbursement along with weekly pay.
Qualifications
- Active RN license required.
- Degree from accredited nursing program.
- BLS & ACLS certifications.
- At least 18 months of ICU experience in Acute Care.
- Travel assignment requirements set by client facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ICU adults and education to families.
- Operate life support equipment (ventilators, lines) and monitor devices.
- Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiratory status for distress signs.
- Administer medications, IVs, and catheter insertions as needed.
- Meticulous documentation of all medications and interventions.
- Assist in emergency nursing procedures for rapid condition changes.
- Perform CPR accurately and promptly when required.
