Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day-shift ICU travel contract in Redding, California. The role requires CA RN licensure and current ACLS/BLS certifications, with a 13-week assignment and a 36-hour workweek (12-hour day shifts).

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required at time of application.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Completion of a workplace violence prevention course (DCI/BVP) is required; free CDC courses are accepted.
• Minimum two years of ICU nursing experience.
• Verification through Nursys may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• 13-week contract assignment
• Direct care for critically ill adult patients
• Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in the ICU
• Provide direct patient care and guide activities of other nursing personnel
• Communicate promptly with physicians regarding patient condition changes and critical lab results
• Expected to respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
