Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 12-bed unit in Oklahoma. The role requires a OK or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/ NIHSS (PALS preferred), and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience with Epic charting. Community hospital experience and previous charge experience are a plus.

The position involves a 3x12 hour day shift, float to other units within a 75-mile radius, and direct ICU care with occasional MS overflow. Housing allowances and travel/licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active OK or compact RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line and central line management, blood product administration, and PICC line management.
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care.
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, dysrhythmias, and multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and GI surgery patients.

Responsibilities

• 10-bed ICU staffed with 2 RNs per shift.
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3, with a maximum of 5 patients per unit.
• Occasional overflow of M/S patients when M/S is full and ICU has capacity.
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM-7:15 PM with a 30-minute lunch.
• Float requirement to other units and other Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Provide direct patient care for ICU and occasional M/S overflow patients.
• No block scheduling requests accommodated.
• Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO permitted.
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible.
• Former Integris employees must have a minimum of 1-year separation to be eligible.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
