Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a travel assignment in Odessa, Texas. This ICU/CCU RN position covers 12-hour day shifts, 48 hours per week, for a 13-week duration starting 11/03/2026.

You must hold an active RN license, a nursing degree, and BLS/ACLS certification, with at least 18 months ICU Acute Care experience. A travel assignment with comprehensive benefits is included.

• Eighteen months of recent ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and family education.
• Operate life-support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration; respond to distress.
• Administer medications and IVs; insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for rapid changes.
• Perform CPR when necessary.

Duties Responsibilities

ICU/Critical Care Nurse (RN) possesses the skills needed to manage the care of adult patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions.

• Provide patient care as well as education and support to the patient's family.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Observe the patient's heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medication, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
