MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in ICU-Intensive Care Unit for a travel assignment in Washington, DC. The role requires an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS & ACLS certifications, and at least 18 months of recent Acute Care ICU experience.

Start date is 10/05/2026 for 13 weeks, with a 36-hour week and 12-hour shifts (days and nights). Travel employment includes full credentialing support, housing or housing allowance,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ICU and educate family members.
• Monitor life-support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Observe vital signs and assess for distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Document medications accurately and timely.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures as needed.
• Perform CPR and other resuscitation procedures as required.

Duties Responsibilities

ICU/Critical Care Nurse (RN) possesses the skills needed to manage the care of adult patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions.

• Provide patient care as well as education and support to the patient's family.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Observe the patient's heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medication, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
