Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a travel assignment in Philadelphia, PA. The position runs 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, and travel employment status.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, and BLS/ACLS credentials, with eighteen months of recent ICU experience. Additional client-specific requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS certification required.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
• Ensure life-support equipment is functioning (ventilators, feeding tubes).
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for distress.
• Administer meds, IVs, and catheterizations as needed.
• Meticulous medication administration documentation.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures to control changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
