Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for ICU in Canton, Ohio. This 13-week contract involves 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts as a travel RN. The RN will oversee clinical care, supervise staff, and ensure patient safety within the unit.

The role requires BLS and ACLS certifications, plus a minimum of two years of bedside nursing experience. Travel benefits and company support are provided by ARMStaffing.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for specific locations).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis through collaboration.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program by utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning on the day of admission and begin patient education.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning and participate in team building activities.
• Prioritize activities and plan for effective use of time and staff.
