TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU RN for a travel nursing assignment in Ottumwa, Iowa. This role offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts for 13 weeks, with travel nursing benefits and a tax-free stipend to be determined.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and holds ACLS, BLS, and CPI certifications. TotalMed RN emphasizes staffing skilled clinicians to support facilities and patients nationwide.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, and CPI certifications preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take samples for lab work and interpret reports.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret displays.
• Ensure proper placement of catheters and tubing.
• Communicate patients' conditions to family members.
