Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU in Fredericksburg, Texas for a 13-week assignment. The position offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts. Start date is 10/05/2026 and travel benefits are provided by a Joint Commission-certified agency.

Requirements include an active RN license, degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS & ACLS certifications, and 18 months of ICU experience. Additional client-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to patients and families.

• Monitor heart rate, BP and respiration for distress signs.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Maintain meticulous medication administration documentation.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures to rapidly address changes in condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.

Duties Responsibilities

ICU/Critical Care Nurse (RN) possesses the skills needed to manage the care of adult patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions.

• Provide patient care as well as education and support to the patient's family.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Observe the patient's heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medication, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
