Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for an ICU travel assignment in Bakersfield, CA. This 13-week temporary position starts 11/16/2026 and offers night shifts (12-hour) with weekly pay between $2,448 and $2,484.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality care in an acute care ICU, supervising staff, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. CA licensure or eligibility is required to begin, with support for credentialing and onboarding provided by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Qualifications

Active registered nurse license; California licensure or eligibility.
ICU nursing experience preferred.
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) in a high-acuity setting.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to standards and nursing process.
Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
Utilize critical thinking and independent judgment to plan and implement patient care.
Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and administer medications/therapies as ordered.
Document assessments, plans of care, and outcomes; ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
