Job Summary

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit Saint Albans, VT. This position involves providing specialized critical care to patients in a PCU setting, with a focus on step-down patients. The role requires managing vented patients, basic cardiac and insulin drips, and responding effectively to emergency events.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 10/19/2026 and ending 01/17/2027.
• Required Qualifications: VT RN license or multistate compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), 3-4 years Critical Care experience preferred, 2 years of experience minimum.
• Additional Information: The majority of patients are step down patients, with responsibilities including caring for vented patients with RT support, managing basic cardiac drips, insulin drips, and protocols for DKA patients. Candidates should have experience responding to Rapid Response and Code Blue events, and be able to assist newer staff in interpreting tele rhythm strips.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be licensed in VT or hold a multistate license, possess current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, and have the required critical care experience.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
