Responsibilities

• Provide advanced critical care in ICU, manage ventilated patients.
• Run codes and titrate drips (Levo, Neo, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, TNK, etc.).
• Monitor patient status via Telemetry and document in the EMR (Meditech).
• Support patient recovery and critical processes in a high-acuity setting.
• Participate in weekend/holiday rotations and float to Med/Surg, Telemetry and ER.

The position requires running codes, titrating drips, and supporting patient recovery at an acute-care facility.

Job Details

• Certifications and Requirements: Current license to submit, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, at least 2 years of ICU experience, and IL license required.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with at least 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing ICU patient care, running codes, medication titration and mixing (Levo, Neo, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, TNK, etc.), and supporting critical processes such as tele monitoring and documentation.
• Experience: 2+ years ICU experience; previous travel experience preferred.
• Clinical support includes hospitalist coverage 24/7, RT equipment, and full patient loads involving Meditech charting.
• Other: Weekend and holiday rotation required, floating to MedSurg, Telemetry, and ER units, and wearing professional scrubs. A department-specific orientation is provided with a resource available for documentation assistance.
