Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position in a highly collaborative and dynamic acute care environment. The role involves providing specialized care to critically ill patients on a combination unit that includes ICU and progressive care unit (PCU) patients. The ideal candidate will have experience with advanced ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and working within electronic health records systems. The position offers an opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; shifts are scheduled on a 12-hour rotation.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; EPIC electronic health record system proficiency; at least 1 year of previous travel nurse experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Zoll thermaguard cooling systems and TTM (Targeted Temperature Management); familiarity with titrating standard ICU drips, vasoactive, and sedative medications; ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Duties: Monitor and support ventilated patients, manage ventilators, perform specimen collection, implement daily patient care activities such as VS, Foley care, bathing, IV pulls, and bladder scans; collaborate with hospitalist or intensivist team, and participate in unit float between ICU and PCU patients.
• Additional Information: Staff will support a patient ratio of 1:1-2 in ICU and 1:8 for CNA support; RN will be responsible for reading telemetry monitors and interpreting strips; the unit values teamwork and offers a positive work culture with outdoor activities. The charge nurse supports the unit without a fixed assignment, providing flexible staffing coverage.
