Job summary

Rosso Recruiting is seeking an entry-level HVAC controls technician to train into a controls specialist role. Based in Savannah with heavy travel, you will work alongside experienced controls technicians on high-visibility commercial projects and develop toward independent controls work.

You will receive mentorship and a clear growth path from apprentice to full controls technician, with a focus on hands-on learning and long-term career development.

Qualifications

• Universal EPA Basic HVAC fundamentals — comfortable using a meter and understanding VFD operation
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively
• Exposure to or interest in controls platforms such as Niagara, Distech, or Siemens is a strong plus (not required to start)
• Strong desire to learn and grow into a specialized controls career
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a standard drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

• Travel with and support a senior controls technician on large-scale commercial project sites, including major logistics/warehouse facilities.
• Assist with troubleshooting and servicing building automation and controls systems.
• Learn and apply basic HVAC fundamentals — meter usage, VFD operation, and core system diagnostics.
• Support installation, calibration, and servicing of front-end and back-end controls platforms.
• Follow safety standards on all job sites.
• Build toward independent controls work as skills develop.
