Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc. is seeking a Travel Pharmacist for a clinical assignment in Alexandria, Louisiana. The position is travel-based, bills as 40 hours per week, with shifting schedules across the day.

Start date is ASAP for a 12-week duration with potential extension; healthcare professionals must hold state licensure and ACPE-credited credentials. The role emphasizes dispensing, clinical pharmacology, and ambulatory care activities, including documentation and collaboration with the healthcare

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (preferred) or BS Pharmacy degree (accepted).
• Must have State licensure (LA license required).
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses drug orders per physician request according to policies and protocols.
• Interprets and transcribes drug orders into the patient medication record.
• Dispenses pharmaceuticals including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.
• Provides ambulatory pharmaceutical care services under approved protocols and/or collaborative agreements.
• Monitors drug therapy regimens for safety and efficacy and provides drug information.
• Maintains licensure, CE records, and participates in quality improvement activities.
