TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Home Health for a travel assignment in Tucker, Georgia. The ideal candidate has at least one year of Home Health experience and a current BLS certification to provide in-home skilled nursing care.

You will administer medications, perform assessments, educate patients and families, coordinate with the healthcare team, and ensure safety and infection control while meeting visit schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Home Health nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Eligible for State licensure; additional certifications may be required.
• Autonomous, organized, and compassionate in patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and wound care as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and medications.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists and other providers.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions such as IV therapy and catheter care.
• Document nursing care and progress accurately and timely.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Manage time to meet visit schedules and maintain communication.
