Job summary

Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) seeks an experienced Aircraft Inspector to join our on-site team supporting NASA and related programs. The role requires deep FARs knowledge, aircraft systems expertise, and the ability to conduct inspections across multiple platforms.

The position is temporary/on-call through 31 Dec 2026 with work at Edwards AFB, CA and frequent travel to ensure continued airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Requires strong aviation knowledge of FARs, FAA/NASA/commercial requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance practices.
• Experience with aircraft inspection programs and records management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify aircraft and subsystem work per NASA, Air Force, Navy, FAA, and commercial requirements.
• Obtain Inspection Authority (IA) within one week if not already certified.
• Perform inspections and audits; generate reports with findings and recommendations.
• Record inspection results in the NASA maintenance management system or equivalent.
• Provide weekly and on-demand inspection reports to QA and project management.
