Job summary

TotalMed Inc. is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for an immediate travel assignment in Berlin, NH. The 13-week role requires 30 hours per week with 10-hour days and includes a tax-free stipend and scheduling flexibility.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of ultrasound experience, BLS, ARDMS certification, and state licensing where required. You will operate ultrasound equipment, prepare patients, assist Radiologists, document findings, and work with McKesson PACS for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or family regarding procedures.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report failures.
• Conduct scans and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Berlin, NH. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. US Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing ultrasound testing.

Tasks

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
