Key Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment, and review images to ensure quality for diagnosis
• Identify normal and abnormal imaging results, communicate results to physicians/health professionals, and alert them to urgent problems
• Prepare patients for procedures and educate patients throughout the ultrasound exam
• Review patient medical history, record imaging results, and coordinate care with various departments within the facility

Qualifications

• Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Associate or Bachelor's degree with coursework in sciences and anatomy
