Job summary

R.J. Corman is seeking a Field Mechanic in Nicholasville, KY to join our construction team. You will perform maintenance, diagnose failures, and support senior mechanics on heavy equipment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on machine experience, the ability to work independently, and familiarity with OSHA/DOT regulations. CDL is not required but willingness to obtain is preferred. Occasional travel to project sites may be expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of heavy equipment systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Familiar with OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Willingness to obtain CDL (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical failure of equipment
• Support senior mechanics in inspections of heavy machinery
• Perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment
• Order parts as necessary for repairs
• Clean and inspect equipment for wear or damage
• Maintain equipment cosmetics and cleanliness
• Maintain service logs and repair documentation
• Use diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot issues
• Perform scheduled maintenance and component replacements
• Practice safe working habits
• Ensure PPE is used and conditions are safe
