Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel ER RN for a 13‑week assignment in Lewiston, ME. You will deliver rapid-response care in a fast-paced ED, triaging efficiently and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires ER RN experience, valid state license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC certifications, and strong clinical skills. This travel position offers competitive pay, benefits, and traveler support.

Qualifications

• One year of ER RN experience is required.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification.
• Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications.
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition.
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved emergency nursing techniques and protocols.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout their time in the emergency department, responding to immediate needs.
• Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice.
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
• Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs in acute care settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
