Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift at a Texas facility. Candidates must hold a TX or compact RN license, have travel nursing background, and current emergency certifications.

This general Emergency Department serves adult and pediatric patients with a 1:3 ratio. Night shifts are 4x12s from 7pm to 7am, with 36 or 48 hour weekly options and weekend requirements. Epic charting is used.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• Current certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
• Minimum 2 years ER experience.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Epic charting experience.
• Skills include IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, ventilated patient care, sedation administration.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management.
• Experience with pediatrics, orthopedics, and neurology.

Responsibilities

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving both adult and pediatric patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:3.
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00-07:00.
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available.
• Weekend shifts required.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Provide emergency nursing care across adult and pediatric cases, including cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic presentations.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility experience preferred.
• Experience with head injury, near drowning, ortho trauma, and spinal cord injury cases preferred.
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted.
• Not eligible if residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties.
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation.
• All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration.
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.
