Job summary

CHS Travel is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room (ER) on a 13-week assignment with an ASAP start. Nights schedule 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. Onsite contract in Gadson, AL, with weekly pay and stipends available.

Active Alabama RN license required, 1–2 years ED experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and provide home address and SSN upon submission.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience.
• Active Alabama RN License (Required – No License Hits).
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Submission must include Home Address and SSN.
• Candidates submitted without the required documentation or qualifications will be rejected.

Responsibilities

• Assess, prioritize, and provide emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical and traumatic conditions.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions as required.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and communicate critical findings promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR.
• Delegate patient care appropriately while providing guidance and supervision to support staff.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and state nursing regulations.
• Maintain clinical competency through continuing education and evidence-based practice.
