Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. The position requires a Hawaii RN license, ACLS, BLS, and PALS, with a 12-hour day shift and a total of 36 hours per week.

The assignment starts on 02/02/2026 for 13 weeks and includes benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and travel/licensure reimbursements. This fast-paced ED admires teamwork and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment.
• Minimum 2 years ER RN experience required.
• Current ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Preferred certifications include Procedural Sedation, TMCC, and EMPC.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 28-bed ED with trauma bays and monitor rooms.
• Patient population includes trauma, cardiac, and behavioral health cases.
• Day shift schedule with 3 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly).
• Fast-paced environment with frequent patient turnover.
• Team-oriented work setting.
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours before starting the assignment.
• Plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend Employee Health.
