Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Emergency Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Rutland, VT. The ER RN will provide rapid-response, high-quality care in a fast-paced ED, triaging patients, administering treatments, and collaborating with the clinical team to ensure patient safety.

Requirements include 1 year ER experience, valid RN license, and current BLS/ACLS; PALS or ENPC is also preferred.

Qualifications

  • One year of recent ER RN experience.
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.
  • Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols.
  • Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and exams.
  • Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice.
  • Take and monitor vital signs, addressing deviations and preventing complications.
  • Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
