Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Emergency Room travel nurse (RN-ED) for a 13-week assignment in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The position requires 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts and a 1–2 year acute care background.

Responsibilities include evaluating, triaging, and implementing care per physician instructions in a fast-paced ED, with duties spanning patient assessment, documentation, IV therapy, wound care and patient education.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NIH required.
• Two years of relevant RN experience; additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care following physician instructions in a fast-paced ED setting.
• Perform minor procedures and advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long-term care needs and document medical history, allergies and vital signs.
• Maintain and monitor supplies, equipment and patient comfort; monitor emotional and physical well-being.
• Provide bedside care, wound care, IV therapy and report suspected abuse.
