Job summary
Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for the ED in Sweetwater, Texas, on a 13-week assignment. Night shifts are 12 hours long, with a 36-hour workweek and ASAP start. The rural West Texas ER features an 8-bed unit with around 30 annual ED patients, with on-site board-certified physicians.
Required certifications include TNCC, ACLS, PALS and BLS; at least 1 year of ED RN experience is expected. Holiday coverage is required and benefits are provided through the agency.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license.
- TNCC, ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications.
- Minimum 1 year of ED RN experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a Level 4 rural West Texas ED with ~8 beds.
- Collaborate with emergency physicians and staff 24/7.
- Support trauma butte in a high-volume ER setting.

This position is for a Level 4 Trauma Center in rural West Texas, featuring an 8-bed Emergency Room (ER). The ER operates with a 24-hour patient volume of approximately 30 patients, staffed by emergency medicine boarded physicians on-site 24/7.
- Current and valid TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Current and valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Current and valid PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Current and valid BLS (Basic Life Support)
