Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing in Salem, Virginia is seeking a travel nurse RN in the ED to join our network of top healthcare facilities.

This contract covers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour evenings, and benefits including housing options, health insurance, and weekly pay.

Active RN license and 18 months ER experience required; BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC may be required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license is required.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, intervene and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Be knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues.
• Understand triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including physical and mental health conditions.
