Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio. This ER RN role is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, primarily night shifts, in a Columbus facility.

The ER RN will deliver rapid-response, high-quality patient care, perform triage, administer medications, document care in EMR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced ED. Active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent ER RN experience
• Current RN license valid where practicing
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS certification (AHA/ARC) or ENPC

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients upon arrival in a fast-paced ED
• Administer medications and treatments per emergency protocols
• Assist physicians during emergency procedures and exams
• Monitor patient status and vital signs, updating EMR accordingly
• Provide patient and family education and support
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control and regulatory standards
