Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel assignment in Peoria, Illinois. The RN will work 36 hours per week with 12-hour evening shifts, in a travel capacity through MedPro’s network.

The candidate must hold an active RN license, have a degree from an accredited nursing program, and typically 18 months of ED experience; certifications such as BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC may be required depending on client facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN License.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, intervene and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Understand triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including physical and mental health conditions.
• Provide care for Emergency Room patients requiring emergency attention.
