Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel ER RN for a 13-week assignment in Baudette, Minnesota. Position: 13‑week travel assignment

Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Baudette, Minnesota. The role provides the opportunity to make a positive impact on patient care while earning competitive pay and comprehensive benefits within a supportive clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and examinations.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the emergency department, responding to immediate needs.
• Observe and document patient conditions per scope of practice.
• Take and monitor vital signs using clinical judgment to address deviations and prevent complications.
• Respond to life‑saving situations per emergency nursing standards.
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Initiate patient education plans individualized for acute care.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers, and support staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an ER RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
• Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications.
• Other certifications or licenses may be required.

Essential Skills and Physical Requirements

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English; following written and verbal instructions.
• Basic PC skills.
• Physical: must remain in a stationary position, move around, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

• Motor: perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and assist with procedures.
• Mental: handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with intermittent supervision, adapt to irregular schedules, maintain concentration on details.
• Sensory: possess visual acuity and effective communication.
