Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year emergency department experience preferred.
• Compliance with professional standards and Amergis competency program where applicable.
• Current CPR if applicable and health certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements and have strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the ED.
• Triages effectively according to patient condition severity.
• Communicates with other medical professionals involved in the patient’s care in a timely manner.
• Performs and supervises patient care activities within RN scope of practice.
• Carries out emergency treatments and follows policies and protocols for patient safety.
