Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel contract on the night shift. You will work 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with a 3 x 12s schedule and a 36-hour week, plus potential 48-hour guarantee and floating responsibilities.

Required: active RN license, at least 2 years in ED, Cerner EMR experience, and BLS; ACLS preferred or facility-standard. NIH Stroke Scale certification recommended; charge nurse experience offered with additional pay.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred/required by facility standards.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification recommended.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• Must be willing to float.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Assess, triage, and stabilize emergency patients.
• Deliver safe patient care in trauma and critical care situations.
• Supervise and delegate patient care activities appropriately.
• Maintain clinical competencies and documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
