Job summary

SoftPath Medical's ED Holding Unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for 3x12-hour night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM, with every-other-weekend coverage. The role includes float responsibilities and caring for adults and geriatric patients in a Level IV trauma setting.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, at least 1 year in the specialty, and be eligible for WV/Compact RN licensure. Cerner EHR proficiency and IV/Phlebotomy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required.
• At least 1 year of experience in the specialty required.
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet experience requirements.
• Pending licenses accepted if WV/Compact RN license is obtained before submission.
• Radius rule applies: 75-99 miles requires facility approval.

Responsibilities

• May float to Emergency Department as needed.
• Cares for adult and geriatric patients in holding unit.
• Uses Cerner for charting and patient documentation.
• Administers IV therapy and manages cardiac drips with protocols.
• Maintains patient safety and oversees transitions of care.
